Dr. Christina Marcelus MD, MS, FAAD

Dr. Christina Marcelus is a board-certified dermatologist and Emory University–trained physician who founded Cutis MD with a clear vision: to provide expert, physician-led dermatology care that is thoughtful, modern, personalized, and rooted in clinical excellence.

As a Black board-certified dermatologist in Atlanta, Dr. Marcelus provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology for patients of every age and skin tone. She has particular expertise in skin of color, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, hyperpigmentation, hair disorders, and inflammatory skin disease. At Cutis MD, she blends evidence-based medicine with a refined, individualized approach so every patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their skin.

Originally from New York and born into a first-generation Haitian American family, Dr. Marcelus built a career defined by perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to expanding access to high-quality dermatologic care. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed her dermatology residency at Emory University School of Medicine.

Her research background spans Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the National Cancer Institute at the NIH, where she contributed to research in skin cancer, melanoma biology, and translational medicine. Her work has been published in leading journals including Genome Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Investigation.

Through Cutis MD, Dr. Marcelus is creating a modern dermatology practice that brings together medical expertise, aesthetics, education, technology, and compassionate care. Her mission is to deliver high-quality dermatology in an environment that feels elevated, approachable, and deeply personal.
